About FBR;

Establishing FBR as a Revenue Division beneath the authority of the Ministry of Finance was done again on October 22, 1991, to make it simpler for the Secretary to the Government to exercise control and to make fiscal policy measures easier to design and execute. The Revenue Division has been in existence since December 01, 1998. The Central Board of Revenue was changed to the Federal Board of Revenue in 2007 when the FBR Act was passed. The FBR Act of 2007 transformed the Central Board of Revenue into the Federal Board of Revenue. In 2007, the FBR Act was approved, and the Central Board of Revenue was replaced with the Federal Board of Revenue. July 2007 saw the implementation of the FBR Act, which changed the Central Board of Revenue to the Federal Board of Revenue. The FBR Act of 2007 saw the Central Board of Revenue replaced by the Federal Board of Revenue.
